Weekly Roundup 2025 - W31
Well, aren't I doing well. As I was writing this one, I realised that you didn't get the previous 2 weeks. That means you'll be getting 3 today!
First up is a post from me about how I take notes and manage my to-do list
In a game between BC and Hamilton, Carter makes one of the most amazing interceptions I have ever seen. My jaw dropped.
Worth watching the whole recap, too.
It's been a long time since I played any Battlefield games, but have truly fond memories from Battlefield 3. That was it at its best. Many hours were lost in there with the GamerDadsUK group. Such a great bunch of guys.
With Battlefield 6 apparently on the horizon, it looks to me like it's BF3 refreshed. Which is probably a good thing because they completely lost their way. I haven't played a Battlefield game since the beta of "1". I could tell within 10 minutes that it was a complete steaming pile of nope, and never spent a penny.
Now I have a sudden urge to play Bad Company.
With the introduction of the UK's "Online Safety Act", we're now being asked to provide ID to access certain content. Now it's starting to hit the average person wanting to watch their porn, they're actually realising what a bloody disaster this was.
In response, someone created Use Their ID. A service which creates a fake ID with the details of your local MP based on post code.
While entertaining, I cannot see that ending well, even though the IDs aren't representative of the real thing, this seems like a pretty grey area.
This person did an incredible paint job on these Tyranid testicles … I'd love to be able to produce something that realistic, it's incredible. As I couldn't find any discussion on the actual method in the comments, my guess is that there's some work with inks and gloss varnish going on here.
New colors for my Tyranids

As a lefty, I often get some strange looks, even now. And, while not fully ambidextrous, I can do just about any task with either hand except writing, drawing, painting. That is a strictly left-handed practice. Painting (decorating) can be either.
This recently resulted in a conversation about cross-dominance.

I think this mostly stems from us having to, generally, grow up in a right-handed world. Try using scissors left-handed … go on, I'll wait. We usually have to force ourselves to adapt to our surroundings. Except at the house of one of my relatives. They're a lefty, too. And left-handed people come first in that house. Including the bog roll being on the left. Simple things.
TMI Time: Most bathrooms – especially hotels – have the toilet up against, or close to the wall on the left, making wiping with that hand completely impossible or downright dangerous. Thinking about it, that's also something I just can't do with the right.
Are you a lefty?
Discovered a place that will resole INOV8 shoes. This could come in handy!
