Weekly Roundup 2025 - W27
A slightly shorter one for this week. It's been pretty busy, and I've done very little news perusing in the evening.

This is intriguing, but I'm concerned that it's just another thing that you'll have to go through Cloudflare for.

Ahh, the Linux phone. I can't help but think we're trying to run before we walk here. While desktop numbers are growing, it's nothing. Even Microsoft took a beating in this market.
Unfortunately, this fell way, way short of its target. Which is a shame because I hate to see anyone's dream take that kind of hit. The pricing on those tiers would be difficult to justify.
I don't think there's really much to say here, is there. This is going nowhere good. As someone who takes incredibly detailed meeting notes, while engaging in said meeting, these tools aren't worth the energy they consume.

It's almost like providing access to content at a reasonable price, globally, actually results in an increase in legal watching behaviour. Whereas making things impossible to find, or limited to a single service, not necessarily available in your country, results in obtaining things in the only method available to you. Who would have thought it?
There were some fun suggestions in here. For me, the notable ones were Pipeline, Warehouse, ClapGrep, Planify, Klevernotes.
It's been a hell of a long time since I've seen some Spitting Image. It never fails in taking things that step too far.
