Star Citizen: Squadron 42

I was speaking with a friend earlier today about games that have taken a long time to arrive. He'd just received a copy of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. I've never played a single Metroid game. That should probably change.

But, it did make me think about a game that I've been waiting for, for the longest of times. I had to go back and check the original date because I couldn't remember. Back in mid-2013, I handed over my initial backing for Star Citizen: Squadron 42. Years later, when we received some Alpha ship hangar, I joked I'd be 40 by the time I played the game. Well, I'm 40 now, and it still hasn't been released.

I have no idea why people keep pumping money into that damn thing at this point. I suppose I can start the joke of: “I might get to play it by the time I'm 50”.
