Pushing Towards More Handwritten Notes
After handwriting a journal now for more than 700 consecutive days, I've really come to appreciate how spending that time slowing down has helped me. And I've been trying to make more notes in notebooks, rather than using my phone.
Today, rather than writing the shopping digitally, I wrote it in a small pocket sized notebook, and slipped it in my back pocket. It wasn't a long list, no more than 15 items. But what surprised me, was that I didn't have to look at it once. The small act of thinking about the notebook in my pocket while walking around the shop was enough to remind me what was on the list. I did, of course, check it before leaving to make sure I hadn't forgotten something. But I hadn't. If that was my phone, it would have been out constantly because I wouldn't have remembered what was on it.
Going to try to do that each time now.
