I caved and purchased an MD Notebook Journal Codex 1 Day 1 Page for using during 2026 as my journal refill of choice.

It is a beautiful notebook. And I'm really looking forward to getting started with it from the 1st January. It doesn't quite fit my journal cover, though. Which is a bit of a shame. The notebook sits out by 2 mm or so. My measurements when checking must have been slightly off. Never mind!

I had been using the A5 Lined Antony Olivier refills, but I just haven't been able to find them in stock anywhere. I'd also become comfortable writing 2 pages/day, and them only covering 3 months each.

I'll have to see if I can reduce my waffle down to a page, or whether I'll have to use 2 of the MD's this year. If so, I don't feel like they will be a sustainable option. Especially at around £37 each.
