Cancelling my DAZN NFL Game Pass Subscription

I've been a subscriber to the NFL Game Pass for a little over 8 years now. As a fan of the Atlanta Falcons, it's been a rough ride.

During that time, the price of the annual subscription fee has fluctuated. Mostly up. But it has absolutely reached a tipping point, especially with the UK now being forced to use DAZN for the service.

When I started watching regularly, I'm pretty sure it was around £80. It was certainly under £100. Each year, up it's gone. £95, £134, £145. This year, DAZN are expecting me to pay £159.99 for the basic package, which doesn't even let me download for offline viewing. For that privilege, I'd need to spend £180. I used to download the games to watch while I was on the bike trainer in a room with crappy signal at the other end of the house.

It also took DAZN over a year to bring back the 'Game in 40' version once they got the licensing deal. There were constant buffering issues, when you could get the thing to load at all. The stream would often just completely cut out, or drop to such a low resolution, it was unwatchable. I have a gigabit FTTP connection. That wasn't the issue. And on top of all that, the interface was absolute rubbish.

I'll miss watching my Falcons get obliterated every year, but there's no way I'm paying that kind of money to do it. I'll read it in the news instead.
